2010 Competition Updates

January 28th

Job Interview Contest Specifications....

All contestants need to be prepared to complete their job application during the Thursday test slot. Also, all students need to bring with them one copy of their resume to be handed in with their application on
Thursday. Students will need to bring three additional resumes to their interview on Friday.

Photography Specifications.......

All students must have a Digital SLR camera and a USB drive to store their images. Also, they need to bring their two prints mounted to the national specifications. They need to be prepared to work with Adobe Photoshop CS3.

February 2nd

Robotics and Automation....

New Hampshire state competition is March 19th. Robotics and Automation competition is at the Intelitek facility in Manchester, NH. Teams from NH, and Vermont will be competing again, and Maine is welcome to join. Intelitek arranges the entire competition, provides judges, light lunch. Competitors should provide their own PC. Starting time is supposed to be at 8 AM. (I will verify).  Winners will be determined for all states. Even if maine has only one or two competitors I am confident the judges will be accurate, Intelitek sponsors/chairs this competition at the national convention. Sorry about the delay.

February 10th

Quiz Bowl....

Teams will take the Quiz Bowl written test on Thursday afternoon in the regular testing space. All members of the team must take their individual written test at the same time.

Medical Math....

Teams will need 2 sharpened #2 pencils, plain scrap paper, and a calculator that does not do graphing. No cell phone calculators will be allowed.

Students do not need to bring computer, monitor, etc. to the contest. There will be a written test on Thursday at the Civic Center that all students are required to take.

Action Skills....

Students need to bring a letter to their contest judges that is on school letterhead and that certifies that they are eligible to compete. Advisors can refer to the technical standards for details.
